Just before the Christmas Holidays, Oz Seals was able to receive a new Hydraulic 600 Tonne Press. This new machine allows the Oz Seals Team to expand the size of elastomer billets in order to create greater sizes of seals. Raw Materials such as Aflas, Viton, NBR, HNBR, Silicon, Neoprene, EPDM will now have the ability to be built in sizes at 1000 millimetres in diameter to compensate for larger production sizes. We had previous troubles creating greater sizes for certain raw materials as the pressure needed to be press down wasn’t possible with our current machinery. However with our new machine, we are able to do so and at a more efficient rate as well.

The coordination of implementing the machine into the factory was complex, as two cranes were needed to carry and place up-right the 19 tonne machine in order to carefully maneuver the machine with the warehouse.
