Oz Seals Australia reckons its newly formulated Red Super Polymer seal is designed to outlast manufacturing equipment. The novel material combines many of the advantages of rigid plastics, metals and ceramics but has the extensibility of rubber.

The Oz Seals R&D team designed the Red Super Polymer for use with polyether-based lubricants. Various components are incorporated into the polymer to ensure low friction at high reciprocating speeds and resistance to high operating temperatures.

The innovative design was formulated especially for demanding applications in hydraulics.

In addition to high load bearing properties in both tension and compression, Oz Red Super Polymer has a high load bearing capacity in shear. Even at high hardness levels, the Oz Super Polymer has significantly better resistance than plastics.

With the inclusion of high-performance urethane, the Oz Red Super Polymer is also suitable for applications such as wipers, pistons seals, rod seals, rotary seals, O-rings and gaskets.
